After giving up an early goal to Maumee Midfielder Maddy Woolford, the Lady Cougars tightened up their defensive efforts to hold the Panther's scoreless for the remainder of the game. The Cougars applied pressure and continued to get opportunities to draw even throughout the first half only to see a halftime with a 0-1 deficit.
In the second half the game continued with an equal number of opportunities. However, GK Sophie Asah with some outstanding saves and her defense holding strong held the Panthers scoreless for the remainder of the game. With 3:44 remaining Freshman Midfielder Lauren Fisher capitalized with an outstanding shot that found the far post and equalized the game.
